Tuscany 2005

In late June and early July we headed to Tuscany for a couple weeks of vacation. Of course we took a few pictures of the country-side (and of Robert in the country-side). The photos and notes are broken into 9 parts that pretty much follow our itinerary:

Part 1: There and Back Again. (Corte Medicino, our home base and general comments about the trip)
Part 2: Lucca June 27 (Surrounded by thick walls now turned into a walking path)
Part 3: Montecarlo June 28 and July 4 (Classic Tuscan town close to home base with a really good restaurant)

Part 6: Montecatini Terme July 2 ("Funicolare" -- train/tram/gondola contraption)
Part 7: San Gimignano July 3 (Towers)
Part 8: Chianti July 5 (Wine country)
Part 9: Firenze July 6 (Florence)
