Harry Zapolsky -- Leonor Conzevoy Wedding

December 1st, 2000 at a lovely Bed & Breakfast on City Island in New York, Sarah's Dad, Harry, married Leonor Conzevoy in a beautiful ceremony.
The marriage party gathered and Ian was given the rings (at the last minute, just in case there was a hole in his pocket). Then the service began with Leonor's family giving her away and Harry's family giving him away.
After the ceremony, Harry (unacustomed to public speaking as he is) gave a short lecture with Leonor at his side. OK, it wasn't a lecture really; they thanked everyone for coming, explained how the ceremony came to be held on City Island and how they chose the music about to be presented.
That brief introduction was followed by a fantastic concert of their favorite Mozart and Beethoven pieces. (The Sunday concerts were what had brought Harry out to City Island in the first place, and it was the setting for one of the first dates the bride and groom shared together.)
Note David Z. stepping in as page turner.
After the concert and while the happy couple mingled, Harry and Leonor's friends had a chance to talk, catch up and tell stories before an excellent meal was served.
Of course, we all know the kinds of conversations Harry's friends are likely to have (E=mc2 etc.). Leonor's friends also had interesting conversations...
After clearing the space surrounding the cake, the couple proceeded with the tradional wedding cake cutting. This was followed by more visiting before folks had to finally depart.
In all it was a moving ceremony, an excellent party, and a wonderful chance for Harry and Leonor's friends and family to meet, visit, and show their support for the happy couple.
