Robert Williams -- First December

December 12, 2004. December brought falling tempertures to the DC area. So Robert now likes to hide from the cold in his new bunting. Also in December, Robert went to Hannah Marrill's birthday party (Robert's first kid's birthday party). He had a great time playing in the pads where he could hold himself up on the side and fall down without making his mom wince. And he discovered ballons. Gravity will never be the same again...

We all headed up to New Jersey for Christmas. Harry appreciated Robert's Santa suit and Robert enjoyed meeting his cousins Oriana and Nick.

Sarah's brother and family were out of the country for Christmas, but the festivies continued in New Jersey with Harry, David, Sarah, Robert, Oriana, Leonor and Nick.
Some of us may be been a little silly Christmas morning. Robert will be more clear on the concept next year I think, this year he was happy with all the attention (and ballons). He also enjoyed his new yellow ducky (thanks Oriana) and soft blocks (thanks Harry and Elle). After some hard playing, everyone's gotta take a nap, Robert was no expection.

Christmas dinner was the traditional Zapolsky goose (don't ask about the crowns).

Late arrivals Here are the chemical (as opposed to digital) photos from Christmas. Further proof that Robert was well taken care of and had a great time.
If you look closely at the photo of Harry, that's a Tiki Island statue kleenex dispenser in his hand. Of course you know where the kleenex comes from...

When we returned to DC, Robert had a new trick to show off: sleeping on his tummy. He's gotten much more happy on his tummy since Thanksgiving and is fine with rolling both back to tummy and tummy to back (and back to tummy to back to tummy to back to tummy until he's several feet from where you expect him to be). We're still working on Zip's needs to not be neglected with the addition to the family. He and Robert get along well, but sharing a play yard is too well.
