Now with privacy built in…

I’m not a fan of the way the US government has taken to scooping up all the online information they can “just in case.” So I’ve ponied up for a commerical SSL certificate and this site is now https. You shouldn’t notice; if you do let me know.

Rather than repeating what’s been said by lots of other folks, here’s someone I’ve been following for a while writing about the current discussions in IETF about http, privacy and security: Counter-Surveillance by Tim Bray. He went https a while back.

I’m also happy to exchange encrypted email with you, if you’d like to have your space in yet another government database. I use GPG and my keys are here.

We’ll return to our regular topic of Robert and his family having fun now.
